MY STORY
Hello,
I’m Hayleigh.
I’ve been a hairdresser for 22 years, and I still love what I do.
My career began as an apprentice at Foresters Hair and Beauty, starting at their Pangbourne branch before moving to Tilehurst. I’ve also worked in high street salons, and those years helped shape the hairdresser I am today.
Eventually, I decided to work for myself. I wanted the freedom to express my creativity and build a salon that reflected my own approach to hairdressing. That’s how Hair at Number 9 came about.
My home salon in Calcot brings together everything I love about my work: creativity, care and the chance to help you feel good about your hair. My aim is to show that beautiful, high-quality results are absolutely possible in a home salon.

Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I’m welcoming new clients. Send me a message with what you have in mind and we’ll find an appointment that works for you.
Is there parking?
Yes, you can park on my driveway. My salon is in Calcot, about 2 minutes from M4 Junction 12. I’ll share directions when we arrange your appointment.

Can you help me choose a colour?
Yes — I specialise in colour, from highlights and root regrowth to full head and creative colour. Send me a message about your current hair and the look you have in mind, with an inspiration photo if you have one. We can talk through the options and confirm your price before booking.
Do I need a patch test for colour?
If you’re a new colour client, you’ll need a patch test completed 48 hours before full colour application. Message me so we can arrange your patch test ahead of your colour appointment.
How can I ask about services and prices?
See my 2026–27 price list above, then send me a message about the service you’re interested in. Prices may vary depending on hair thickness and length, so we’ll confirm your price before booking.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give me a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel. Otherwise, you will be charged 50% of your service.
